Artists have always been an endangered species, but recently, more aggressively so (funding/education cuts)... it's probably because art has the power to change the world. I feel privileged to make, play, experiment, self-express and communicate with others in what feels like my mother tongue. I want the next generation of artists to be able to do the same... in some ways, art is the most sincere form of historical record-keeping that humanity has access to.
I strive to create artworks which inspire others to commit their own acts of creative rebellion, to self-express and to use art as a lens to think critically about their world.
Currently, I'm working on a stage show adaptation of A WALK IN THE PARK - my animated film featuring a winged faceless woman, a fragile heart and a posthuman fine dining restaurant.
Career highlights include: ArtBasel Miami, Affordable Art Fair, Aesthetica Art Prize (longlisted), DYCP recipient, BJP Edition365 Award, OpenAI featured artist, Flatpack Festival, Fringe Arts Bath Festival.
//A Walk In The Park: An experimental moving image artwork which features a winged faceless woman, a posthuman fine dining establishment, and a piano playing heart. (VERVE Poetry Festival, Flatpack Festival, LCB Depot, Ostranenie Theatre)
//Hybrid Art Journal: (experimental art zine which lived across digital, physical and virtual realms for three months in 2022) I invited 10 artists, designers and thinkers to come together and co-create a hybrid, left-field living journal.
//UDOU: 3D Metallic sculptures question the illusion of freedom and control. (ArtBasel Miami)
//The Masses: Successfully incorporated elements of poetry, mass participation, audiovisual, physical installation, and virtual installation. (BJP Edition365 Award)
