This piece focused on the technical blending of motion capture dance performance with traditional game engine fight animations in a way that wouldn't scream 'this was created in a games engine'

Countermand ::2023::
A heart playing piano is a haunting and beautiful image that adds to the film's dreamlike quality. Created in October 2023 in response to lives being destroyed, innocent people and children being murdered, like inconsequential cannon fodder. Countermand was a wish, a wish made in vain.

Confit Potatoes ::2023::
Inspired by the Refuge for Resurgence by Superflux - a multispecies dining art installation which was part of the Biennale Architettura, La Biennale Di Venezia 2021. At the time, I wondered what would happen if there was a real multispecies dinner party… what exactly would they eat? And who exactly would still be around to enjoy dessert by the time the final course was served? This micro film takes place decades after that dinner party.

AWITP overlays a piece of prose about struggle and resilience. This is where we are introduced to our winged faceless woman.

A Walk In The Park ::10mins, 2024::
Creating A Walk In The Park was a non-linear process. The bootstrapped movie began its life as a series of micro feelings swirling around and slowly taking shape inside of a games engine (Unreal Engine), a collection of micro films emerged and these then evolved into the 10 minute short film on tour.

I’ve forever been in awe of the power and ease in which dance can clearly articulate universal sentiments and evoke emotion.
Choreographic Research
Following a DYCP award in 2022, Unreal Engine has become my preferred tool for creation. I’ve also started to work with dance and movement curation and I hope to continue developing this side of my arts practice.

A sci-fi inspired music video created with Unreal Engine 5.5, pushing indie realtime filmmaking to the max by incorporating a custom metahuman driven by Isola King's facial performance.

Hi Bab ::2025::
Part of the ReelBrum 48hour filmmaking challenge, this film took a lot longer than 48 hours to create but has a lot of heart and includes monologues in verbal and piano playing form, as well as a poetry performance. A love letter to Birmingham and a nod to those spirits who still occasionally check in on how the Brummies are doing. The film was created using Unreal Engine with custom metahumans and utilised Cesium to bring our animated city to life. 48hr Crew = Lily Montgomery, Louis Lampard, Riis Isola King, Saurabh Frank Thomas and Sonia Levesque.
